Hope is All We Have made it through to the preselection round of the English Artists Open Exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London.
Hope Is All We Have Is Hope, has made it through to the pre-selection stage of the Royal Institute of Oil Painters Open Exhibitions at the Mall Gallery in London.
Ever wonder what inspired an artwork?
In the blog I will explain the visual language in my paintings and sculptures. This week's focus is on the painting titled 'Hope is All We Have.'
I love the story of Pandora's Box and the message it portrays to us mere mortals. Everyone at some time in their lives experiences episodes that they consider to be the darkest moment in their lives; often seeing no way back to being happy ever again. Even the confines of the very darkest of pits eventually cracks to let in some glimmer of hope. Hope is at its most powerful when it is at its most limited. To look up and see a glimmer of light often ignites our fight and passion for life. The sun will shine again, trees will bud and you will smile. Hope is the most precious gift given to us by the gods.
